I meet with clients on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. I return calls and emails on those days. My availability varies. I keep my caseload small to provide the best care I can to the clients I work with. Please use the contact form to find out if I have any current or imminent openings.

No, I will provide you with a master bill that contains a clinical diagnosis for you to submit to your insurer for partial reimbursement. I am not on any insurance panels. If you have out-of-network benefits, your insurance may reimburse you for a portion of your visit. Each policy is unique; please contact your insurer to learn what your policy will cover.

Why pay out of pocket?
Paying for your sessions out of pocket has several advantages. Here are some things to consider about private pay:
1) Your mental health information remains private and remains separate from your medical record and life insurance policy.
2) Private pay patients do not need to meet the insurer’s criteria for medical necessity, therefore there is no risk of having treatments cut off by an insurer who may determine that the treatment is not medically necessary.
3) There is no risk of receiving an insurance “clawback", an insurer’s demand for repayment of services which it previously reimbursed.

All sessions are by telehealth at this time. Telehealth allows you to arrive in session in an overall more centered space which enhances the treatment.

The short answer is no. LICSWs can only provide care to clients in the state where their license is issued. I am licensed in Massachusetts, which does not offer reciprocity with other states at this point. Therefore, I would be practicing without a license if I were to provide you treatment when you are in a state where I am not licensed. You must be located in Massachusetts during the session. I have had clients who live in a nearby state but who work in MA and see me when they are in MA.

I am not a psychiatrist and do not prescribe psychiatric medication. Some of my patients are followed by a prescriber, and some of my patients are not. Being on medication is not a requirement to see me. Still, if some of your symptoms may be alleviated by medication, I will suggest a medication evaluation with your PCP or a psychiatrist, but ultimately, that choice is yours.
